The Best Invention (4º ESO)
YouTube (114)
I personally think that YouTube has been the best invention in the world for the last ten years.
With YouTube, you can first watch interesting video clips, search for information you need for your school projects, see tutorials and upload your videos. In addition, it is a source of free entertainment.
Next, it is an easy and fast way to promote your own visual projects and what is more, you can follow other customers you like.
On the other hand, students and teenagers in general spend hours after hours in YouTube wasting their precious time.
To sum up, I consider YouTube to be undoubtedly the best invention in recent times but if used properly.

My Favourite TV Programme (4º ESO)
My Favourite TV Programme (77)
The
name of my favourite TV programme is Ridiculous Business. It is a very funny
and entertaining humour chat show
programme. I think that Ridiculous Business is the best present TV programme.
On the one hand, Chanel West Coast is
very pretty and sympathetic. On the other hand, my personal opinion about her
is that she is quite stupid.
Finally, my best friend Aaron's opinion
is that the programme is a rubbish and no-one should watch it.

YOUR FAVOURITE FESTIVITIES AND WHY (4º ESO)
DESCRIBE YOUR FAVOURITE FESTIVITIES OF THE YEAR AND EXPLAIN WHY YOU LIKE THEM (141)
I have no special
festivity of the year at all because I like many of them but, if I had to
choose one, it would be the Twelfth Night.
First, it is a
festivity devoted to mainly small children. However, adults can enjoy it taking
part of the event making the smallest ones' dreams come true.
Second, an enormous
parade is held in my town and everybody goes asking for sweets or toys, singing
traditional Christmas carls and dancing with folk music which is played by
colourful local bands.
Third, and most
important of all, watching the face of my little son while opening the parcels
his presents were wrapped with is simple priceless.
In conclusion, I am now
sure that my favourite festivity of the year is the Twelfth Night due to the
illusion it generates among little innocent children.

Dear Sir / Madam,
I am writing to express
my concern about / regarding the huge amount of rubbish the area surrounding
the children playground in my neighbourhood presents. It is a shame the
appearance it shows, mostly at night.
First of all / To begin
with, litter of every kind accumulates day after day without being cleaned by
regular services and that is your task.
Second / Then / Next, I
am completely sure it is forbidden to both smoke and drink in an area where
children play, but cigarettes and empty bottles keep on appearing everywhere.
Finally, and to make
matters / things worse, police is rarely seen in the area and consequently,
common crimes such us robberies and fights have recently increased.
This is why I strongly
urge you to take immediate actions to solve the problems before exposed and I
suggest using the money from taxes to increase the number of policemen and
street sweepers in favour of our children’s health.
I look forward to hearing
from you soon / your reply
Yours faithfully / sincerely

The King's Daughter. (Solve the Mystery).
The King's Daughter. (Solve the Mystery).
Once
upon a time there was an old king who had a beautiful daughter.
The
king used to spend a lot of money fighting against a neighbour enemy and, this
way, he soon got ruined.
An
old ugly and very rich banker proposed the king a solution for his problems:
'I'll lend you all the money you need and your daughter will become my wife'.
The
daughter refused but her father begged her. In the end, the princess accepted
but with one condition: 'We'll go by the river and we'll take three small
stones, two of them black and the other white. We'll put them inside a leather
bag and, if I am able to pick the white pebble without looking, I'll be free'.
The
old ugly banker accepted the condition but when he was going to take the small
stones, all the pebbles he took were black. He put them in the bag and said
nothing.
The
princess noticed the trick. She continued with the proposition, however.
Did
she have to marry the old ugly banker?
If
not, how did she manage to avoid the wedding?

WRITE A NARRATIVE ( 92 - 116)
Last summer, while I
and my family were on holidays in Mallorca , my
youngestbrother got lost.
We didn’t know what to
do since it had never happened before but, fortunately, my eldest sister
proposed us to separate.
First, I went around
the apartment we had hired looking for my brother. Then, my parents would go to
closest police station. Finally, my sister had to go to the local hospital.
In the end, my brother
Esteban had been playing with a group of children on the beach as the police
reported us.
EXTRA: Although time
has elapsed, I will never forget looking for my brother that day. That is why I
will never let my children alone.
