PROJECTS 2017: 2º ESO 'PROFILES' IES V CENTENARIO (SEVILLA)

NASA is the American´s Government Agency responsible of developing civil plan, as well as aeronautical and aerospace research. After the first artificial satellite took off in the world (4th October 1957), the interest of the USA went to their own progress in the space.
The Congress of USA warried about a threat for national security and it started an immediate action but the Eisenhower´s President and his gabinet decided to do something after they talked about it with more calm. So, they created an agreement about a new federal agency.
On 29th July 1958 Aeronautics National law was aprobed and on 1st October 1958 new agency started by work. Its orientation wasn´t military. It was civil. From now on, NASA managed most espacial explorations by USA ( Apolo´s tasks, Skylab (spacial station), and later the space shuttle). Plan Apolo cost about 200,000 millions dollars. Skylab was the first American spacial station and it built independently. At this moment NASA is supporting the International Space Station and is checking vehicle Orión. NASA´s facilities have research, communication and building centres. Now, some facilities keep only for causes administratives or historicals. NASA operate a small line railroad on Spacial Centre Kennedy and have two aeroplanes Boeing 474 for move the spacials suttles too.

The great heroine of the British came to the world around the year 30, somewhere in the land inhabited by the Icenos, a tribe of Celtic origin that was distributed by the old region of East Anglia (present Norfolk and Suffolk).

It was a warrior queen of the Icenos, who led to several British tribes, including their neighbors the trinovantes, during the greater uprising in Britania against the Roman occupation, between years 60 and 61 d. C, during the reign of Emperor Nero. These facts were narrated mainly by two historians, Tacitus (in his Annals and in the life of Julio Agricola) and Dion Casio (in Roman History).

Boudica took up arms and fought energetically with her warriors, against the Romans.

In the year 60 occurred the death of Prasutagus. His wife remained as regent, ready to protect the inheritance of his daughters before the insistent requests of the Romans, who demanded for themselves the annexation of the iceno territory and an abundant fortune, that included the dowry managed by the now queen Boudica.

She died in 61 Watling Street in Britannia.

Edward  VIII + Wallis Simpson    image.jpg

Was king of the United Kingdom and the dominions of the British Commonwealth and emperor of India, he was born in 1894 and died in 1972.

Edward fell in love with Wallis Simpson, an American celebrity. She was born in 1896 and died in 1986.

Eduardo caused a constitutional crisis when he proposed marriage to Wallis Simpson. UK prime ministers and domains opposed marriage, saying that the people would never accept her as queen. In 1936, King Edward VIII unexpectedly abdicated the throne to marry the love of his life, Edward's behavior prior to his decision to abdicate from the British Royal Family, and led to the "abdication crisis" in Britain. In 1937, the happy couple married and embarked on a jet-setting life in Paris, meanwhile referring to themselves as "W.E.”--Wallis and Edward---1936-1973
